If you’re anything like us, we can bet you get butterflies when you see a beautifully renovated period home – particularly when it involves a light-filled kitchen refurbishment. If that’s the case, you’re in for a real treat with this six-bedroom house in Brixton, south-west London, which is currently on the market. From its Crittall-style doors to the tropical garden and delightful original details, here’s why we’re lusting over it this week…

The red-brick exterior, with its ornate detailing and black-and-white chequerboard tiles leading to the front door, sets the tone of this Victorian home, where there are period features aplenty.
