Timothy Smith & Jonathan Taylor Architects

Established in 2010, Timothy Smith & Jonathan Taylor Architects are based in London. The practice works on projects ranging in scale from residential masterplans to smaller scale residential and commercial work. Current projects include estate buildings for the National Trust, a housing development in East Anglia and various residential refurbishments, many to historic buildings.

The practice featured in The Architecture Foundation’s New Architects 3, a survey of Britain’s best emerging practices established in the last ten years. Projects by the practice have been finalists for the Brick Awards 2017, AJ Small Projects Awards and RIBA Yorkshire Awards. Both partners teach a postgraduate design unit at Kingston School of Art, London, where Smith is also director of the MArch Architecture (RIBA 2) course.

The Modern House Says
"Rampant Modernism is eschewed in favour of a more context-sensitive approach, resulting in projects that often embrace a sense of history."
