Tikari Works is a studio of designers, makers, architects, and developers – they create soulful, sustainable, and highly crafted spaces, often in constrained and challenging settings.

Tikari Works offer their clients a holistic service to uncover the true potential of a project. Their work is underpinned by a desire to find design solutions that are simultaneously pragmatic, sustainable, and poetic.

Tikari Works’ design process is evolutionary and exploratory – testing ideas and allowing them to settle into a coherent response that is in harmony with the site, function, and, most importantly, the client’s aspirations. They aim for designs to be visceral and favour an architectural response that has longevity and timelessness.

The practice was founded in 2015 by Nicola and Ty Tikari. Their work has been widely published, both nationally and internationally, and their projects have won numerous awards, such as a RIBA National Award, the Wood Awards Gold Medal and have been shortlisted for both the RIBA House of the Year and the Stephen Lawrence Prize. In 2019, Wallpaper* Magazine selected Tikari Works as one of the world’s top 50 emerging architects. Tikari Works was named ‘Architect of the year’ at the Architects Journal Awards 2021.
