Plykea

Founded in 2016, Plykea produces high-quality, plywood kitchen fronts and worktops for IKEA cabinets. Their products are made in-house in London, using a birch plywood core sourced from an FSC-certified supplier, precision cut by CNC and then hand finished by their highly skilled team. The kitchen and wardrobe fronts are faced with the option of either a premium-grade natural veneer of oak, ash or walnut, or an extensive range of contemporary colours from Fenix, Arpa Bloom, and Formica, which are bonded onto the birch plywood.

The Plykea team will guide you through the whole process from IKEA to realising your dream kitchen, building a free no-obligation quote from your IKEA plan, which includes a handy 2D visual of your kitchen design.

Summer 2021 saw Plykea move into their impressive new glass-walled workshop and showroom space at Here East in Hackney Wick. Designed by architects Erbar Mattes and surrounded by other innovative and creative companies and universities. Plykea has expanded in more ways than one, growing the team, launching in the USA, and introducing new products such as the Ürtil made-to-measure shelving, customizable double-doored pantry units, and fronts for IKEA’s Pax and Platsa wardrobes.
