With no formal training, EJR Barnes approaches making furniture in an atypical way, using poetic or contextual cues to develop his work. The results exist in the grey area between art and design whilst remaining entirely functional.

Producing one-off pieces both independently and to commission, Barnes also makes small batch runs of items for the home with the help of a network of artisans throughout London.
