Be Seated, situated in the Leith area of Edinburgh, is run by furniture maker and restorer, Peter Holmes. Peter specialises in the restoration of post-war mid-century furniture and the manufacture of bespoke pieces, working with clients from across the UK and beyond.

The Be Seated collection combines classic and contemporary styling with traditional furniture making and upholstery techniques to create unique pieces for any living environment. Whether restoring or making, Peter’s aim is to provide resolute construction and ergonomically sound furniture, therefore he will work with you to achieve the best possible result. Every piece is individually tailored using traditional craft skills and materials, while at the same time embracing modern techniques where appropriate. Peter is a Member of the Association of Master Upholsterers.
