Built on the west coast of Auckland in 2009, Parihoa House sits on a rural hillside 60 metres above the ocean. The resilient black-stained boards of the exterior were designed with the harsh coastal weather in mind, and will develop an organic patina with age. The interior of the property provides a sanctuary from the rugged surrounding landscape.
