Our Directory is an ever-growing sourcebook of the country’s best architects, designers, makers, builders, gallerists and more. For anyone looking to design, build or furnish their space, a browse through those listed should be the first port of call.

Having just added eight new practices, we thought we’d share them with you.

Nune
Sheena Murphy founded her design studio, Nune, in 2014 after undertaking an interior course at Parsons in New York prompted her to leave behind her business background. Her change of career is one we’re thankful for, as it’s resulted in restful, considered interiors on both sides of the Atlantic.

Beata Heuman
A rising star of the interior design world (House and Garden magazine named her designer of the year in 2018), Beata Heuman’s eclectic, vibrant and, dare we say, maximalist style is a welcomed alternative from Scandi neutralism. Funny, then, that Beata hails from Sweden.

Surman Weston
This north London-based practice is headed up by Tom Surman and Percy Weston, who ditch a conventional ‘house style’ to respond to each brief that comes their way sensitively and with the context in mind. We’re big fans of their ‘Cork Study‘ project, a sustainable timber-framed outhouse.

All & Nxthing
Working across private homes, commercial and retail projects, as well as office and studio design, this De Beauvoir-based practice brings a unique identity to each one of their commissions, often fusing contemporary finishes with vintage flourishes.

Alexandra Noble Design
Minimalism might not be something you associate with garden design, but Alexandra Noble’s restrained compositions prove good landscaping can be just so. The cherry tree she installed in the middle of a walled garden in west London is proof of her parred-back approach.

Anouska Tamony
An interior design studio with a mission to make original spaces that reflect their occupants’ needs and tastes. The names of their projects – ‘Laid Back Luxury’, ‘Mid-Century Orientalism’ and ‘Bohemian Family Home’ – certainly attest to the studio’s client-driven approach.

OB Architecture
This Winchester-based practice produces homes and commercial projects across the UK, often with an added sense of glam – as their supercar workshop in Hampshire is a good example of.

Duncan Foster Architects
A practice putting out contemporary homes across the country, defined by their clean elevations and contemporary-feeling interiors.
