A refined Andalusian villa with mountain views.

The designers of this light and spacious house have used traditional building methods of the region to create a contemporary house with an interior executed in a simple minimal style.

The accommodation consists of a large open plan living space with a series of french doors that open out to a large terrace and barbecue area. A hallway leads to three double bedrooms and an additional twin bedroom. Views of the surrounding mountains are offered from every aspect of the house.

Please note that the pool is only usually open from April to September, although it can be opened at other times upon request.

The house can be found in Las Alpujarras, an area that has a very special microclimate creating lush planting with citrus trees. The area is famed for its flat roofed, white-washed Arabic villages that cluster into the gentle mountain ranges. There are beautiful walks all around and a visit to the Alhambra can be easily done in a day. The almond blossom in February is breathtaking, as is the olive harvesting in December and January.

There are plenty of local activities from horse-back riding, mountain biking, yoga and spa therapies (in near by Lanjarron), to visits to the beautiful white-washed mountain villages and lazy days by the pool.  There is selection of good restaurants, cafes, tapas bars and local shops in the nearby village of Orgiva, as well as a weekly market and the usual fiesta celebrations throughout the year.

About the owner
Tim and Brendan first explored the Alpujarras over 10 years ago when they were drawn to the area by the food, scenery and rustic escape. Their house here is a retreat from their lives in London; a place for long mountain walks, yoga and meditation. Brendan is often on hand to meet guests, but they have a small local team who can also provide assistance during your stay.
