Timothy Smith & Jonathan Taylor Architects

Timothy Smith & Jonathan Taylor Architects was established in 2010 and is based in London.

The practice works on projects ranging in scale from residential masterplans to smaller scale residential and commercial projects for private and commercial clients. Current projects include estate buildings for the National Trust, a housing development in East Anglia, a large barn conversion in the South Downs and various residential refurbishments, many to historic buildings.

The practice featured in The Architecture Foundation’s New Architects 3, a survey of Britain’s best emerging practices established in the last ten years (published in 2016). Projects by the practice have been finalists for the Brick Awards 2017, AJ Small Projects Awards, RIBA Yorkshire Awards, an invited shortlist for the Institute of Psychoanalysis and an open international competition for Peabody.

Both partners teach a postgraduate design unit at Kingston School of Art, London, where Smith is also director of the MArch Architecture (RIBA 2) course.
