London Terrariums

London Terrariums is London’s first bespoke terrarium company. Founded in 2014 by Emma Sibley, London Terrariums started off in a studio in Bermondsey, creating terrariums in small vessels. They now have a shop in New Cross Gate where they hold regular sold-out Terrarium workshops, as well as creating unique terrarium displays for shops, restaurants, hotels as well as private commissions.

Their terrariums are all sealed miniature ecosystems. The plants photosynthesise inside of the glass creating heat and oxygen that condenses on the inside of the glass, which means that they do not need to be watered. They can sit happily and grow with little interference for years on end, perfect for busy spaces that find it hard to maintain standard houseplants. Past clients include, Adidas, The Merchants Tavern, YMC, &Other Stories, The Victoria & Albert Museum, The Barbican and Tom Dixon.

The Modern House Says
"Plants that water themselves? That look this good? Consider us sold."
