HoughtonBudd Architects

Established in 2005, HoughtonBudd Architects have designed and completed projects that explore their long-standing interest in the essential relationship between a project’s setting, its formal composition and the materials of its construction to create high-quality, thoughtful and sustainable architecture.

Every project is considered to be a site-specific, one-off commission, with a consistent interest in developing proposals that are transformative yet rooted in their place.

Projects have ranged in scale from modest domestic additions to multi-unit developments with the materials of each place being used as the inspiration and palette to create rooms and buildings that are intended to be both timeless and robust. Current commissions include both new build houses and additions to listed properties.

HoughtonBudd Architects have been recognised by the RIBA for the quality of their work and projects have been published in both the national and architectural press including The Financial Times and Architects Journal.
