GRAS

GRAS are an award-winning multi-disciplinary architecture and design studio based in Scotland. Since their formation in 2006, GRAS have worked at home and internationally across a diverse range of scales and typologies with a commitment to creating extraordinary places, spaces and objects.

The studio fosters an open, collaborative approach which is both explorative and intuitive, grounded in a deep understanding of people and place. The resulting work aspires to be lasting, firmly rooted in its environmental, historical and cultural context.

GRAS work closely with their sister conservation studio, Groves-Raines Architects, who bring a depth of experience and expertise in the adaptive re-use of historic buildings.

GRAS have received awards and commendations from the RIAS, the RIBA, the Royal Scottish Academy, the Architect’s Journal, the World Architecture Festival and the Scottish Design Awards including the Design Grand Prix and the Chairman’s Award.
