Friend and Company Architects customise modern houses, where every project is the result of detailed research into the context and site characteristics, to ensure each adaptation retains the cultural signatures of a modern masterpiece. Its portfolio also includes award-winning new build developments. Director Adrian Friend implemented an architecture undergraduate programme for Norwich University of the Arts, exploring the relevance of modern industrial designers, and recently curated an exhibition to celebrate Danish architect Arne Jacobsen. Friend and Company won ‘Most Innovative house in London’ at the DMI2018 awards. The work of the practice has been widely published in international design and architecture journals including Blueprint, Architects’ Journal, Architecture Today, Building Design and Wallpaper*.
