What We're Seeing: Imagine Moscow at The Design Museum
The Design Museum’s spring exhibition, opening this March, marks the centenary of the Russian Revolution by exploring Moscow as it was imagined by a vanguard of architects and designers in the 1920s and 30s.
Rarely seen large-scale architectural drawings for unbuilt projects will present an idealistic, unrealised vision of the Soviet capital. Each of the six projects presented introduces a theme relevant to life in the Soviet Union – from urban planning and aviation, to recreation and communal living – and is shown alongside a curated selection of artwork, propaganda and publications from the period which offer further insights into the culture of the time.
The exhibition runs from 15 March – 4 June 2017. More information here.
