What We're Hearing: Winners of the Architect of the Year Awards announced

In Building Design‘s Architect of the Year Awards, announced last night, the ‘Individual House Architect of the Year’ award went to Piercy & Company, for its modern house in west London and its conversion of a Martello Tower in Suffolk. A special commendation in this category went to Denizen Works for its conversion and extension of a traditional black house on the Isle of Tiree in the Hebrides. The overall prize of the night went to Haworth Tompkins, for its contribution to improving the quality of Britain’s cultural buildings.
