Set in Old Hunstanton, a small village on the north Norfolk coast, is this classic example of Modern architecture. Built in 1971 by the architect Robin Spence, this single-storey house sleeps six people. Its design consists of an unusual steel portal I-beam frame construction with 32ft spans, and bronze-anodized aluminium double-glazed elevations to front and rear. Internally, there are many of the original fittings, and the current owners have filled the house with a mix of modern and vintage furniture and art. There is also a superb design library for when you can find quiet moment.

The property, set in enclosed gardens with sea glimpses, offers two double bedrooms: one with a king-size bed, another with twin beds that can be made up as a super-king-size double. There is also a good-quality double sofa bed located in the living room which can accommodate another two people. There is a large open-plan kitchen-dining-living room, a family room with big flat-screen TV, DVD and turntable, and a bathroom with power-shower. In addition, there is a cloakroom, a garage with a table-tennis table and a half-size pool table, hanging for kites, boards and space for bikes, and a large boiler room with space for drying wetsuits etc.
