The RIBA is hosting an evening of discussion exploring Californian Midcentury Modernism.

‘Bringing the Outside In: California Midcentury Modernist Architecture’ will reflect on the style’s legacy, examining its lasting impact and global reach.

Speakers include scholars and practitioners: Janice Lyle, author of Sunnylands: America’s Midcentury Masterpiece; Pat Kirkham, Professor Emerita at Bard Graduate Center and Professor of Design History at Kingston University; architect Frederick Fisher; and former curator of architecture and design at the Palm Springs Art Museum, Sidney Williams.

The panel will be chaired by senior curator of the V&A, Catherine Ince.
